Our Story

Mantalys has an established network of partners, contributors, and collaborators from across the world. Our founding team and associates bridge multiple continents, scientific disciplines, and languages – bringing a truly global perspective to our mission.

July 2025

Mantalys is created

Following several years of preparation, the founding team of Kévin Cortacero, Brienne McKenzie, and Thomas Sauvage officially launched Mantalys in July 2025. The trio combined their expertise in computer vision, image analysis, immunology, oncology, software development, and engineering with a vision to bring light, fast AI to the world of biomedical image analysis.

January 2026

Mantalys hires its first employee

Advancing its commitment to R&D, Mantalys hired its first employee, Eliott Gaudillat, a research engineer with expertise in computer vision and biomedical image analysis to develop new approaches uniting deep learning with evolutionary computing. This hybrid AI approach will prove instrumental in creating state-of-the-art algorithms for image analysis.

February 2026

MantaPlex released for alpha testing

Mantalys released its flagship software, MantaPlex, for spatial phenotyping of multiplex immunofluorescence images to its alpha testers around the world.

March 2026

Mantalys receives its first non-dilutive funding

Mantalys receives its first non-dilutive funding with a prestigious R&D grant from la Bourse French Tech émergence as part of the France 2030 initiative.

April 2026

MantaPlex released for global beta testing

Mantalys released its new and improved flagship software, MantaPlex, for spatial phenotyping of multiplex immunofluorescence images to beta testers around the world.
